This is the original OConnor 1030 and was probably made some time between 1988 and 1993. It does look genuine and is in remarkably good condition.
The modern day equivalent would be the C1265-0001 with a list price of $8540.
This (if the inside is as good as the outside) will give the same balance & drag performance as the latest model however the balance will be much more difficult to adjust as this is an area we improved on.
OConnor heads are very robust and can last a long time if well maintained.
